HVLAX’s First Annual Lacrosse Day
4/4/2011
Dear Friend of the Huntington Village Lacrosse Club and Community:
We would like to personally invite you to contribute and be apart of HVLAX’s First Annual Lacrosse Day in Huntington which will be held Sunday, May 1st at our own Huntington High School facility. Our purpose and goal for this special day is "Celebrating, Remembering and Having Fun, in remembrance and honor of Michael “Mick” Luckow, a beloved husband, parent, coach and role model as a Huntington community citizen and leader.
Michael Luckow, a parent active so committed to our school and sport related activities, passed away suddenly in late June, 2010. He was just 44! And as a result of his commitments he chose and was an integral part of our Lacrosse Club and meant so much to all of us.
Our community is equally committed and is coming together now, and rally in support of those who miss this wonderful man most; Michael Luckow, a married father of three young boys residing in the Huntington School District.
Please help and offer whatever support you can for this special day. This will be, and is a great time for you to partner with the Huntington Community to honor “Mick” as a special person, for his commitment towards his family, his children, our children and community while participating in a sport they love to play, Lacrosse! In keeping with the spirit and memory of how Mick lived, the proceeds from this day will be used to provide lacrosse scholarships to the boys and girls of our community.
We are also looking for sponsors and donations for our days events. You can sponsor our special Huntington Lacrosse Day T-shirt, or choose to have an event table or just simply donate!
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute and be connected to the HVLAX Club while marketing your company to the Huntington Community and athletes. Please complete and return the donor package on the reverse side. We graciously and gratefully accept both your monetary, product and service contributions.
Your prompt response is appreciated. There is much to accomplish by May 1st! If you have any questions please contact Bob Keys at 516-901-3964. Join us for a day of fun. Download HVLAX Lacrosse Day Flyer Download HVLAX Lacrosse Day Ad

HVLax Outfits Youth Teams with AEDs
4/24/2007
HVLax is one of the first youth sports organizations on Long Island to institute an AED program. Today’s AED analyzes a victim's condition and (only if warranted) delivers an electric shock to the heart to restore patient’s heart rhythm. The AED offers clear vocal instructions for CPR and AED use. All HVLax coaches are trained in CPR and the use of our AED's. All teams in our organization are supplied an AED to be on location at practices and games.
